Michael Stiassny has extensive senior business and financial experience. He has a 40-year strong background in financial consultancy and is a prominent strategic advisor. He is a leading corporate governance practitioner and advocate for sustainability practices.

Michael is currently Chairman of Tower Limited and 2 Cheap Cars Limited, as well as a director of a number of public and private companies. He is a Fellow and past president of The Institute of Directors in New Zealand (Inc.) (FInstD), a life member of Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association New Zealand Incorporated. Michael is also a former member of the board of the Financial Markets Authority.

Greg is a qualified financial services professional with over 40 years of experience spanning the insurance, banking, and risk management sectors.

His career encompasses senior roles across general and life insurance, lending, and banking, with deep expertise in product development, distribution (direct, intermediated, and broker), underwriting, pricing, compliance, and systems solutions.

Greg has a strong background in the strategic development of insurance and lending products, as well as the design and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks. His leadership experience at the executive level has seen him guide organisations through complex regulatory environments and market changes with a focus on sustainable growth and sound governance. Greg is one of the shareholders of Momentum Life Limited via DCG Invest Limited.

Jeremy is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in insurance and financial services. As Chief Financial Officer for Momentum, Jeremy’s role encompasses financial governance; strategic finance support; operational accounting; compliance with regulatory solvency; and managing relationships with banks, rating agencies, and reinsurers. Jeremy has held senior finance roles with Tower Insurance and AIA New Zealand prior to joining Momentum.

He began his career with Ernst & Young (EY) in Wellington before spending three years with EY in Dublin, Ireland working solely with insurers and reinsurers, before returning to EY Auckland. Jeremy has an ability to bring the numbers to life – providing strategic insights and guidance for Boards and executives.

Chris has over 20 years’ experience in the stockbroking and funds management industries. Up until February 2018 Chris was a partner and executive director of Sydney based boutique stockbroking and advisory firm Foster Stockbroking Pty Ltd, where he focused on Corporate Finance, specifically managing IPO’s, share placements and other forms of equity funding and advisory.

Chris established Foster Capital NZ limited in April 2018. Prior to joining Foster Stockbroking, he spent 8 years with leading New Zealand real estate fund manager Augusta Capital, which he founded with his brother and current Augusta CEO, Mark Francis. Chris is a shareholder of Momentum Life Limited via DCG Invest Limited.

With over 30 years of experience, Chris is an accomplished corporate and technology lawyer known for her extensive work with government and industry.

She has held senior roles, including partnerships at Duncan Cotterill and MinterEllisonRudd Watts in New Zealand, and practiced at Linklaters in London.

Chris is currently the Honorary Consul for Finland in Auckland, President of the New Zealand Scandinavia Business Association, and a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.

David has over 40 years’ experience in senior management and corporate governance in the Finance, Retail, Import Distribution and Liquor business sectors within New Zealand. This includes leading roles in management buyout, business repositioning and the restructuring of previously non performing operations. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration and is an Associated Chartered Accountant. David is a shareholder of Momentum Life Limited via DCG Invest Limited.

Emma is the Customer Care Manager, boasting 31 years of experience in the life insurance industry across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. She has been with Momentum Life since its launch, successfully establishing the service and claims functions. With a focus on providing a market-leading customer experience and a seamless claims experience to New Zealanders in their time of need, Emma has built an industry leading team, delivering award-winning customer service.
